What is this?

While trying to fix another issue I come across this electricians nightmare.... Looks like someone did a little splicing and dicing , not sure what it is but looks to be tapped into factory wiring? May follow it later to see what it goes to, just wasn't in the mood to play detective today.

It's a relay and fuse holder. To what, you would have to follow the wires.

yes I know what they are, but for what I don't know yet hmmmmmm

You could always pull the fuse and see what no longer works. Did anyone add lights?

No idea, just got the car 3 days ago, going to detail the engine bay today, clean it up

The auto start doesn't work with keyfob? everything else seems to be ok.

1. Certain CEL's or codes will disable the remote start.
2. Most former rental/fleet cars did not have the remote start option. Maybe the key fob has been replaced with the incorrect one and you don't actually have the remote start option ?
