Chevy calls the color on my '08 2LT Cardinal red.The other GM divisions call it Merlot Jewel Metallic.I've never seen a metallic cardinal,much less one in that shade of red.

when I started looking for mine, I really wanted Victory Red. I live in the Philadelphia area, and searched as far as eastern Maryland, New Jersey, North East PA and west to Berks County, and could not find a V.Red "anything" anywhere. Really. Found a Cardinal Red (ha! Merlot Jewel Metallic, whatever) 1LT at the dealers around the corner.

I loved my Sunburst Orange till they stole my wheels. I just like it now. I hope to get back that love back, hopefully someday..............

Dark Silver Metallic here. There's a LOT of dark/charcoal gray vehicles around here. No HHR's though. Most of them are blue, silver, or white

The factory calls my color Merlot so I checked red. It's definately much darker than cardinal red. It's looks maroon.
