What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
drove 1,200 Klms over the weekend, did four different shows, in S. Ontario, Welland Friday, drove to Port Huron in the morning and then to show in Paris,on Saturday, Wodstock and London on Sunday, today its wash and shine for this week two tanks of fuel averaged 6.4 litres per 100Klm, what ever that is in MPG, not bad concidering I had the A/C on both days
I got to spend my weekend moving. The HHR came in very handy as did the folding down passenger front seat... But imagine my surprise to see the short bus still was averaging 31-MPG hauling boxes and 2 AC units.. Highway of course...

Had a new windshield installed....courtesy of a gravel truck on the Freeway.
While the cowling was off I noticed the cheap, flimsy, crappy piece of thin plastic that Chev. elected to use to "patch" the hole over the fan motor, was not secured very well. Further observation noted the part didn't even fit well. So, I told the glass installer to leave the wipers and cowling off when he was finished and I would make a repair.
Cut a piece of 24 gage aluminum flashing about a 1/4 inch bigger all around, put a bead of butyl flex down and secured it properly.
I know owners have complained about a water leak in this area. Just never realized it was such a cheap item......unbelieveable.
