My 2006 2lt HHR was dropped 2 1/2 in. in the rear and 2 in. in front was terrible on anything other than a good road until I had installed the fe-5 struts what a big change I wish I had done years earlier a big difference.

Nice update Jay, today I had to repair the right side blue dot in the tail light, the guy next door just had to poke at it to see if it was glass or plastic, pushed it into the lens ,well that was a half hour of fun and games but the rattle is now gone.

I finally got my steering wheel centered!!! third try. Now that I'm thinking I really am going to need an alignment next month when I get new tires since I foolishly made CarMax align it before I bought it. They did not get the wheel centered so I guess somebody had botched it before them since the centering marks don't line up now that the wheel IS centered.

Oh man, an off center steering wheel sets my OCD off, glad you got it fixed Don.(My wife calls me Mr. Monk)

Now you just have to get the alignment tech to preserve its centering, not that hard to do if the tech takes pride in doing things right.

Installed MOOG stabilizer bar links today. What a pain is the arse! Had to use my cut-off wheel to chop the threads off since there was nothing to hold onto to keep them from spinning to remove the nuts. Unless you have a very thin wrench maybe. Why is everytime I try to do an easy job it ends up a huge pain? Way to go engineers.
Much improved handling and no more cluncking up front. With my $25 coupon they were only $50.26 for the pair.

Added my roof rails today, and as a added side note, when trying to mark and place the templates, it helps a LOT if you find the center of the top of the HHR and measure out from there.
Note onto the 3-bar grill mod!!
