It's been a bit since I have posted but have been working on the HHR again for the last few days now that a few other projects have wrapped up. I dropped the sub frame to get at the engine to start rebuilding and cleaning it up. Not doing a total rebuild just bearings, rings, and pistons. Waiting on parts so I have been taking a part or two a day in for blasting when I get a second at work as I wait. The GF is insisting I finish this car before starting my next build. The next build is going to be a classic Z31 with two turbos and a super charger sticking out of the hood. The goal is 13 second 1/4 mile passes with that. But first.... back to this beast. She has been waiting very patently for the love she deserves.

Edit: I can't remember how to post big pics... I'll try to play with it later

I am getting kicked off my 3 month free trial for onstar in a few days so I renewed with them but bumped down my plan to the basic safe and sound plan.

Redid a bit of the grille. Some of it where I was impatient and smudged the paint, smoothed it with sand paper then repainted. Then the Mesh was fading, so I resprayed it.

went to the show in Hamilton, till 11:00 am then the rain started so went home. I had gone to Paris last night, took a few dozen pictures only to notice the auto focus function isn't working on the camera, so no pictures at all turned out just a blur!!

You know I had a similar experience once. I was in Eastern Nevada, right on the Utah border and took about 20 photos of a Pronhorn antelope herd...great photos! When I got to the hotel room that evening I found NO film in the camera.

I had auto focus issues after the kids used my camera. Turned out to be just that the lens had fingerprints on it. They have since been taught about how the thing works and their photos are much better.
