I just performed the most important mod I can think of. You know that storage compartment on the dashboard? Well I lined the bottom of that guy with that grippy/squishy matting that you might put in a tool drawer to keep stuff from sliding. That's where I keep my garage door opener and sunglasses. It drove me crazy that the payload would slide around in there. I haven't road tested this mod yet, but I expec thte results to be satisfying.

Drove to store

I drove my HHR to grocery store, and filled it up with gas for $2.86 a gal.

Thanks guys, glad ya like it. I wasn't sure how it would look, i just mixed a few colors i had sitting around and sprayed it.
A complete dip job takes the better part of a day. Prep takes the longest, have to thoroughly clean and dry, then i take the tail lights and spoiler off. I also tape off the roof, engine bay, and radiator. This was the fastest one yet at about 4 hours, mostly because i sprayed right over the existing dip, but removal can be done in less than an hour. The more layers, the easier it is to peel

Here's what she looks like right after being sprayed. Note the reflectors, windows, mirrors, and license plate... everything gets dipped

That's really cool!

I'd been wondering if you stripped it back to the paint each time or not, question answered.

Cool, Lunchbox!

Today, I get the evaluation as to my reflexes and ability to drive again, so fingers crossed I pass muster and get the green light!
That's if I can stuff my big belly behind the wheel, after yesterday's Thanksgiving feast of roast beast, I'm full!! Not even room for one thin tiny wafer mint!
