Now that the weather has allowed me to cruise around with the windows down, I decided it was time to remove those noisy hubcaps, put a fresh coat of flat back on the rims, and put some nice chrome lugs nuts on.

Went to cut up my extra bumper and realized you have to have a special too to remove angle grinder wheels. So off to lowes. Ya I know always be smarter than the tools you work with.

Dear WSOC Weather Guy,

Per you 7am forcast for "very little chance of rain before 3pm", I burbled forth this morning in Paddy(washed, waxed, detailed, and gleaming), to run a few quick errands.

Well shortly after 10am on I-85N, I ran into an area of "very little chance" which was actually a full blown Carolina Frog Strangler.

Please find enclosed a bill for my time to re-wash and detail said vehicle, because it's now quite filthy from 25 miles of driving in "very little chance" at 75 mph.

I'll now be watching the weather on WBTV.

Signed,
Irked in K-Town.

Only thing I did today was pull it out of the garage and pulled it back in. I had to clear my garage so I can put my summer tires back on my Accord.

abused it by hauling an old triumph frame (with front wheel still attached) to my garage.

To make up for it put on news wiper blades all around.

I got the HHR back today from the local dealership, after getting an oil change, a smog test, and pretty much a new suspension and some steering parts put in...to the tune of $1800...OWCH!!

But hey, it rides like new now....my bank account is still weeping, however....

Looks like I borrowed "playgames1970"'s idea and spent a few bucks too! I put on new tires (pirelli's), along with new struts and shocks and a couple other sundries items! Dinged myself for $1100!! But it rides great and drives straight! Lol!!

I finished building a custom package shelf for my HHR.

I fly radio control airplanes, and I wanted a second level so I can haul more planes to the flying field.

The shelf is in two parts, and can be installed or removed in minutes. The rear half is 39" wide by 24" deep, and is supported by the same sockets that hold the factory shelf, only it's about 5" higher. The front half is 48" wide at the front and 44" wide at the back and is also 24" deep. The front section attaches to the rear section and has legs that lock into the latches in the folded seats. With the front section removed and the rear section still in place, the rear seats can be unfolded into their normal latched positions.
