new parts

Today we swapped out front quick struts sway bar end links rear shocks and did an oil change took about 3 hours saved couple hundred bucks on labor by doing it ourselves.

Nothing like the "warm and fuzzy" feeling of doing your own work, and saving some scratch too.

My "did" was an oil change and tire rotation on my '06, plus a quick "clean & adjust" on the rear drums.

Starting to get a smidge of play in the left front outer tie rod end, so that's on the "next weekend" to do list.

Got the Red '11 wagon out, stuck the key in the ignition and cranked /fired up on first try.

Got home from Butler Pa., went over the weekend to a Van meet there at the fairgrounds. Too many Highway Patrol on the Interstates to have fun with the SS, But it got 33.5 mph!

Today is it's birthday ( 9/8/08) So I filled it with Sunoco Premium and a can of Seafoam ...john

Not much today, temps in the mid nineties for awhile now , so just kick back and watched the school buses roll by. First day back for the little darlings, so drive very carefully now, please!

Hope that was supposed to be mpg's.

33.5 mph in a SS wouldn't be much to talk about.

nice looking Panel SS !!!!

Would like to add this to my " what i did'.... from above.
Was driving home in my panel with my tablet plugged up to the radio
and i went to set it on the passenger seat and the
the air bag light would switch on as if some one sat down in the seat while i was moving.
My tablet weighs maybe 2 pounds, just thought it was weird that little of weight.

Some of the seat occupancy sensors seem to be more sensitive than others. It may even depend on which seats you have.
In my SS, I have a small storage box that sits on the front passenger seat. I weighed it one day at around 6-8 lbs.
I've never seen the airbag light go on with that box there. In fact, I've pushed down on that box and it takes a good bit of pressure to get the light to turn on.
