Does slipping and falling off the Portside float of a DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver into the 40° water of a Canadian lake count?

A decade later and my teeth are chattering at the memory.

40 degrees, that's tanning weather up here , don't cha know!
We've evolved but the condensation in the fuel tank didn't, I still use gas line anti freeze for just such an occasion!!
Today just a sit and rest day!!

Found this on good old eBay, this just might warm things up!! But no money honey!!

Sweetie is still feeling the effects of the last month and a half !
But hey!! It's Monday so don't forget to crank it up at 6:00 pm!!
That's 1800 hours there for all who tell time on the military basis!
Twisted Sister... We're Not gonna take it, Anymore!!!!

Consider it Cranked Buddy!

Yeah, Borla is blowing out HHR systems on the "bay", I snagged one for either the Panel AKA "Operation Frustration", or I'll lose the buzzy Magnaflow system on the '06.

Of course with 401,294 miles on it, the exhaust and freshly fitted new tires are worth more than the old '06 Daily Driver. But that's a sign of being a true Motorhead, when the exhaust is worth more than the Trucklet it's bolted to.

Nope...40 degrees in The great White North is skinny Dippin weather.

A Beaver huh...another aircraft I'd have loved to have flew, it's just that they are mostly used up where it's so darn cold...

I'm sorry you didn't get any stick time in a DHC-2 Corvette Mongo, but maybe I can do something about that someday. The insurance check arrived last week for our Piper Malibu Mirage after it was hit and damaged beyond repair by a fuel truck in Nova Scotia.

Subtracting the payments still owed to Piper on the Malibu has left us with "DeHavilland Money", and I can see one of those beautiful float planes in our future.

While Michelle has been in the hospital, everytime she dozed off, out came a copy of "Trade a Plane" and there are some sweet Beavers out there with good engine hours remaining and clear histories.

So "never say never", you might still see the world through a Hamilton-Standard prop being spun by a 450hp Pratt & Whitney R-985 "Wasp Jr." Radial Engine.

As for my HHR "did" Twisted Sister was Cranked at 1800 hours for Oldblue & Helen. Tomorrow's "did" is already planned, my Sweetie is coming home in Paddy.

It sure is Ron, better than finding a 700E Hudson still in the sealed box from Lionel at a flea market.

Sorry non-Lionel folks, a sealed #700E NYC Hudson is the Holy Grail of the Lionel Collectors world.

Think about a 1967-1969 L-88 Corvette, bought new by a little old lady, and only driven to Chutch on Sundays with 1,500 miles on the clock.

That's a 700E to a train collector.

The sun is shining brightly, the roads are dry, and Paddy is parked on the top deck of CMC Northeast's parking garage as we wait for the docs to make their rounds and cut Michelle's discharge papers.

Dusty is bouncing around "helping" Mommy make sure we don't forget anything, and I'm killing time by tinkering with the Site to try and resolve a Member's Gallary issues.

Our Crank It music for today is Mark Knopfler's Going Home from the 1983 film "Local Hero".
