What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Thanks Ron, your kind thoughts are very much appreciated my friend.
My "did" was to think about my HHR's back in North and South Carolina, as I changed the timing belt on my Father In-law's '05 Chevy Optra 5-Door.
You can throw a Chevy Bowtie on a Daewoo, and it's still a bleepin' Daewoo, but it got the works. Timing belt, tensioner, water pump, and a new valve cover gasket to keep it from puking oil onto the exhaust manifold constantly.
Korean cars remind me of Japanese cars about 20-25 years ago, they get the job done, but everything is so flimsy and cheap...geez!

Well, I WAS going to install tail rings today.... WAS, unfortunately, the rings I got appear to have been cut by hand & there are gaps & slight unevenness present in all 4 rings. The unevenness wouldn't bother me as much if I couldn't see black between the ring & tail light So, they're going back for refund.
Even looking down from an upward angle, the gaps are noticeable from 4 - 5 feet.
Here's a closeup of the bottom left corner of the bottom ring & no, that's not shadow, that's paint, you can clearly see the shadow line on the blue protective film.
According to the lables on the rings, I have them all around the correct lenses.
They're also completely different than I thought they would be. They just adhere with 3M tape to the body, I thought they would adhere to the lens to look like the old retainer rings on old cars.
It's a real shame, cause these are a stainless steel base instead of chromed plastic.
Had my black panel out for a spin first time since early Dec.
Went to check out some of the flooding on the Mississippi
and the Missouri Rivers, sitting in the garage now the odo reads 55,300.

Took Sweetie to Hamilton today for a follow up visit with her DVT Dr. , Sweetie developed a large blood clot in her left leg last June after her hip replacement, it is going away and should be cleared up by Feb or Mar.
We Cranked Up .... You'll have to check out that forum!

Took Sweetie to Hamilton for her bone marrow sample, that won't be till next week, good news no more chemo for now, bad news is there will be a chemo session in a month or two along with a bone marrow transplant, should they find a donor.
And I thought this would be a much better year!
The HHR rode along smooth and quite just like Sweetie likes it! No crank up today , just living comfortably numb!!
