Well it looks like the world lost another HHR.

Fellow attempted a left turn in front of me on wet roads and it did not turn out well.
Both front airbags in the HHR deployed. Gonna be a fun day sitting on hold with the insurance . As far as I know there were no serious injuries.

If I find out where its gonna go I'll post up so anyone in need can go snap up the parts.

Not doin to bad . Thumb feels like It was jammed . Ribs /sternum area are not very happy.

For future reference DO NOT attempt to honk horn when airbags are to deploy imminently.
and BUY A DASH CAM!

I've rewatched my window mounted phone/dash cam vid multiple times now . Under 2 seconds from the time I realized hes gonna "go for it " then the impact .
The attending officer stated that it makes his life VERY easy when he can watch what happened.
Yes the other driver was charged for his maneuver.

I heard him say to the officer " I floored it but the wheels slipped on the wet pavement"

Gee, maybe his insurance will rebuild yours or maybe write you a check to get another fine HHR panel!!

I drove up to Hamilton and back today in heavy fog, and still there were many fools out driving with their cells phones in their hands and a couple with small dogs on their laps!!

The panel is A - OK it was my other one that my wife fell in love with.

With both airbags deployed and the front end damage I think they will write it off

Now that the pollen is gone. First wax of the year. Washed, clay bar, then a good waxing with Zymol ebony. Now every 3 weeks a spray glaze and the next wax in June.

Today a run up to Hamilton ( just like every other day since March 31) and maybe stop for a coffee with my hot ridding buddies, it's almost car show season!
We probably won't be going much again this year.

Ditto on the best wishes Foxhat - sorry to see the incident.

Swapped over to the summer wheels/tires, threw on a fresh set of front brake pads. Checked over the front suspension while I had the front end up on blocks - looks like sway bar links are due for another replacement asap before they fall off.
