What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Guess I'll have to get in the SS and go to the auto parts store.
Nothing for the SS but the old Dodge truck doesn't want to idle anymore. Pretty sure the IAC valve is the cause.
I have those Sammy Hagar lyrics stuck in my head. "One foot on the brake and one on the gas" (only way to keep it running when in gear)

Not sure about York yet, going to have to look at the 'ol budget, especially since I'm going to leaving about $500 with Oldblue fer some springs and a John Deere painting.
Geez FMG, I'm really starting to think like a geezer, my brain went Wonky Dodge = Ballast Resistor.
An IAC Valve huh, well then she ain't no Slant Six or a 318 with a Carter BBD 0-2425 two barrel.

Well ya know FMG, back when I was turning wrenches to put myself through school, that there "Fancy Pants" fuel injection was only on them ferrin' cars and stuff.
Chrysler products meant Slant Sixes (198s & 225s), 318s, 360s, and the odd 440. All of 'em sucking through Holley or Carter Carbs with those wonderful "Lean Burn" ignition systems, and smart owners always carried a spare Ballast Resistor in the glove box.
I still remember doing an oil change on a '72 Dart driven by the proverbial "little old lady", about two pints came out when I pulled the oil pan drain plug, but that old 225 was running fine when it came in...and it was still running fine everytime she brought it back.
You HAD to work at killing a Slant Six, best engine the Pentastar gang ever made.
