That would be 110 klms per hour, right?

Today is a just wash and detail day, I checked out the front end, no fasteners loose.
No parts look out of whack , expect the axle shafts, the inner cv joints are sloppy.

Yesterday , whilst out for a test drive , the Goodyear blimp was overhead in Niagara Falls

So this happens once or twice a week to me. I'm asked what kind of car I have, or do I have a special modded PT Cruiser. It's annoying, to be considered a PT, but it is nice to know that I have a different vehicle than everyone else here. There's only one other I've seen on the island, and most who ask say they never seen one. I guess I've added to the questioning by debadging, well almost, I still have the beauty bar to do.

I also gave a good wash, most of the grime was on the rocker and rear quarter. I love my house, but it's down a dirt road, UGHH. I really need to get a duster.

Yeah... Those guys that ask about my PT Cruiser. They still haven't found the bodies.

Brought home 12 bags of garden mulch today... Sort of two bags over my "limit of ten" that I set last year, but when the broken bags are $1 a bag plus the 5 that were on sale... Hey! I'm cheap because I'm poor. It will fit more but the back end is sitting low at ten bags and it's 17 miles home through the previously mentioned twisties.... 10 at a time is enough. I do have to edge the gardens, clean them up and spread the stuff too. So there's that as well.

Besides, this year I'm carrying a full sized spare which makes a difference too. (still not mounted, but that's another story )

Darn metric system.
Using Google convertor 7L/100km = 40 mpg (Imperial). 6 = 47 and 5 = 56. Definitely US miles per gallon would be less. Regardless it seems to sip the fuel.

Yes, sadly, but the other is hard to stay way from, LOL.

Today I stuck a small hulagirl on my dashboard to dance when we hit bumps. This evening I adjusted my headlights to the right height according to the manual. I can see everything a lot better now. They were way low, the driver's side about a foot and the passenger side a few inches lower than where it should have been (@ 25 feet).
Now my high beams light up the backroads so I can keep an eye out for pesky varmints planning to end it all and mess up my car in the process.

Today I had to finally replaced the original factory battery in my 07 HHR. I still can't believe that it lasted 10 years. Of course I replaced it with another AC Delco battery since both this one and the one in our Saturn have lasted so long. The Saturn's AC Delco battery is not the original factory battery but it is the same battery that was already in the car when we bought it back in June of 2009.

Today a trip back from a getaway couple of days in Hockley Valley, Ontario. Smooth ride, I keep to the back roads no highway speeds, very little shake in the front end, the axles are here so I'll back swapping them out tomorrow.
Yesterday we stopped at a winery for complimentary tasting, we were there an hour at around 1:00 pm , the heat gauge read 43 C degrees or 108 F degrees. So tomorrow one side at a time in the shade!

Over the weekend put in a pair of KYB shocks. The driver's side shock was really toasted, all gunked up with grease. Ride greatly improved, gone is that squirrely feeling on either bumpy roads or ones with the grooves in them to displace rain water.
