I just got in my new Delco turn signal switch from Rockauto and weather permitting I will try to put it in this weekend. I watch the video that was posted of one being changed, but I heard or saw no reference of if you had to disconnect the battery. Does anyone know if this is necessary?
Thanks
Ron

I always disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, just to be safe, knowing how these trucklets are particularly sensitive to voltage!
It's an easy job, shouldn't take you to long .

Today it's off to a 30th birthday party for Sweetie's niece, should be a fun time!!

Just got done splicing the wires back together that the @*&^!%@ squirrel chewed up. Idiot chews right at the plug and only leaves me about 1/8th inch of a stub to solder to... Not proper but functional at the moment. High possibility of catastrophic failure at the worst possible moment from all this wire damage... This is like the 4th time it's happened and all different portions of the harness.

Man, that crank sensor plug is a hassle to get at... as is the top bolt of the starter. Actually, everything is a hassle to get at, now that I think about it. At least there wasn't much blood...

I painted up these truck style wheel covers to be close to the car's color.
I think they look, ummm.. different.
I liked the center hubs and chrome rings, but painted the fake chrome lugs along with the centers. This is how it'll look til one falls off...

Why, thank you!
I think it's kind of weird, but it is different. I had fun prepping and painting them. I rarely get to mess around in the garage anymore.

If someone would shoot me now, that would be great.
Best reason to have cats that I have seen in some time. Hah!
We have been rescuers and a foster home for decades and on our land (5 ac.) the cats are king ... and the varmints are terrified, or eaten.

Back on topic: dumped a full can of refrigerant into the low pressure valve, as it has been in the 90s WITHOUT heat index for a while now.
I guess I should get the system looked at if it needs that much!

'Toughy' got some new shoes today. Now for the fun part, replacing the worn parts in the front end.

Yesterday I got the turn signal switch changed on the 2010. It took less then an hour. The hard part was getting the cover back around the steering colon back in the proper place. Thanks for the videos in the how to section.
