Finished my SS rear axle install. The task was easy but a little tough for a single 62 year old man

Your in the same boat with some of us on this forum.
It's nice to get help, but life goes on.
See you live in Arizona. Weather is on your side there when it's not hot out.

64 years old , same boat . Thankfully my friend Dan comes around to spin the wrenches now, he learns how, uses my equipment, and gets pizza and wings and an ice cold wobbly pop!
I’m gonna oversee his wife’s attempt at inspecting her brakes and changing over to her winter tires when she come home from work today.
for the HHR, I had to back it outa the driveway and roll the Sunfire GT out into the daylight for a photo shoot.
We’ve decided to sell it, Sweetie hasn’t driven it much since her diagnosis back in September 2015, and even almost a year prior to that for her hip replacement in May 2015.
Sweetie is a little upset to sell her baby , but she grabs Oldblue’s keys when she’s headed out for lunch or dinner with her friends.

Blue- nice looking Pontiac, understand the your Lady's reluctance to sell. But good she can grab the HHR keys anytime.

Oldblue Add 8 years to that, I am 72. My wife traded her black 96 Sunrise GT on her 09 Victory Red HHR. I kept stealing hers so much I traded for my 10 in Oct. Of 10. I have had several Pontiacs, good cars.

Now the only issue I'm having is with the parking brake. The actuators move and the cable is free BUT, when connected, pulling on the brake handle is extremely hard with no brake action. I will look again to see if I missed anything.

I just ordered a Fel Pro O-ring and gasket kit to resolve a coolant leak that appears to be coming form where the coolant transfer pipe enters the thermostat housing. This could be a day-after-turkey-day project for me.
