Happened late last night.
Missed the Deer.. But got to far over and caught the snow on the shoulder. Pulled me right off the road, and over a sign. Narrowly missed a power pole.

Got a temporary headlight rigged in today, along with turnsignal/parking light.

Took more pics of damage for insurance purposes. But that one shows what got destroyed.
Insurance Adjuster was here yesterday to look at it. Just under $2,100 in damage repairs. Have the check already....

Need to stop at the CU to have them sign it, then it's off to the body shop, hopefully in the coming week.
Going to make sure they have all the parts 'on-hand' before we drop it off.

Sorry to hear about your bad day Ogre, but the most important thing above all else is that you're OK, if a bit sore. Even the very best drivers will "jingle the tin" on occasion, what sets you apart is your frustration over having an accident. For many people wrecking a car is just something that happens, a professionally trained driver takes any accident personally.

Five years ago this June I wrote off a race car at Road Atlanta and fractured my back in two places. As I shot across the gravel trap headed for the tire barrier, my only thought was "damn it, damn it, damn it...I screwed up", followed by a huge boom. Best thing to do is get back on the horse, and carry on.

I parked the Silver Surfer in favor of a little two wheeled therapy in trips this morning, hopefully the afternoon traffic will facilitate it again.

Orge I am so sorry to hear about that. I hope you are doing okay besides the minor bruises and soreness. Not sure if you have had head injuries before but my only comment is be careful from here out. I had a car accident and got a concussion and amnesia from it and now all I have to do is tap my head wrong and I am out of it. Hope you feel better soon.

Ogre, glad you're alright (besides some ego bruising).

Is it totalled? Hope you'll be getting another HHR if so.

If I read it correctly, it was another car? Something about a red sled.
