Today a trip to see the countryside, explore new restaurants and maybe see a few HHR’s along the way.
neat MM panel, I wonder if you could transplant an LNF Ecotec into that?

Went to work

New to the forum.

Purchased a used 2006 HHR Sunburst Orange 130000 miles last month. Got it for a good price since some things need to be fixed. Great condition inside and out with the exception of a big dent on the hood like something large but not very heavy was dropped on it.

Other then that it needs the 1/4 gear transmission solenoid replaced (p0974 code no 1st and 4th gear) rough shifting. Looks like the car may have been stored a long time causing the transmission problem. Solid suspension but will check and replace any warn parts when servicing the tranny.

Came from a 2002 PT Cruiser that was having to many electrical issues and was not the best example to begin with. Plus the engine is a pain to work with.

My wife has issues getting out of low vehicles so the HHR is the better choice for gas mileage plus we both enjoy the unique look of these vehicles. Only thing to get used to is the electrically assisted steering.

What is there to get used to? If it is turning off and on there is an extended warranty.

It's working fine. Just coming from older vehicles with regular hydraulic power steering. The PT Cruiser had a tighter more go kart like steering. Our other vehicle a Ford Explorer has a heavier feeling also. This is a bit more lighter but similar then the Nissan I sometimes drive.

Plastidipping!

I plastidipped the rockers and stone guards dark gray to cover all the rock chips and sand blasted paint.

Looks great!!

Today we had to get out to some stores for the fancy frilly sheets and duvet and drapes , Sweetie is in a redecorating mood , so I’m going be painting the bedroom walls and ceiling in the the next week or so.
Oldblue rolled along nicely , the twin Camaro SS horns were nice a loud to alert a motorcyclist , holding her phone in one hand the gripping the throttle with her other. She wasn’t aware of the truck that ran the stop sign and almost ran her over.
Thankfully just her Iphone was damaged . I believe she’ll need new underwear. She sure hugged me a lot and she swears her phone will be in her pocket when she’s riding.
