Finally....

Finally had a chance to change oil and filter. DIC still was above 50% but it's been a few months over a year since last change. I usually do it in late Aug, early Sept, but life gets in the way at times... Okay, all the time, but it is what it is.

Then, washed and spray waxed it because it's going to rain tomorrow (See what I did there) and I need to drive it.

Put up our Christmas lights, a little early, but it’s in the mid 50’s and dry , so why not!

Thank you!

Today we roll out to Hamilton, Ontario, more follow up doctors visits for Sweetie. The CEL or MIL lit up again, I’ll scan it later.

The scanner reads the same code P0496 , strange it lit up first start after refueling.

A trip to my doctor for 3 month check up, my blood sugar numbers are well within the non diabetic range so he is taking me off that medication. Then we had a walk in our local mall , Black Friday sales everywhere, but nobody around to shop. I guess they all had work or school.

Thanks, I’ve followed my doctors instructions, lost 25 lbs , exercise more and my blood sugar numbers came down, just like he said.

Today is a freezing rain day, no travel in this stuff!

I've gotten a good bit done on my vacation at home. And didn't spend a lot doing it.
The shift boot was a prelude to changing out the shift knob too.
I have read about people getting their shifter's shaft threaded for different knobs, but I didn't want to go through all that.

I found a cool little adapter that uses set screws to tighten around the shaft and allowed me to use an aftermarket knob I found that I really liked.
In the pictures, the boot is not pulled up all the way because I wanted to show the adapter properly.

Link to shift knob adapter (available in silver, black or red) $12 shipped
Link to aftermarket shift knobs (various colors/designs) less than $12 shipped

I also got my rock guards painted and installed. I really like the little bit of accent/contrast they add. (I think I paid $20 for the guards and $4 for the right paint for plastic)
