I walked 5 klm or 3.1 miles. Back when we went metric the short conversion took it’s toll on my mileage allowance for my job and the weight calculation was also a pita between 2.2 lbs equals a kilogram or 2.20468. . A huge difference when the product was $375.00 a pound .

Well, to understand that here in Hawaii, it’s really not unheard of to have 6 inches in a 12 hour window, so it wouldn’t be implausible to have 18 in a day or so, but yes that would be quite a bit for us even. When it rains like that, I usually can wash my car with just a bucket and some 2-in-1 wash, and it comes out amazingly. No rinse needed. 😁

No, I had to use replacement bolts , the plates corroded. I used M12 flanged bolts and nuts , torqued to 75 ft/lbs. I think , but haven’t confirmed the bolts were not very good quality. I removed the bar and will inspect the remaining two bolts from the passenger side.

Don’t forget, this was a used bar I purchased way back in 2012, from a fellow member, the original bolt plates or bolts corroded, when I removed the bar to sell it , those bolts snapped during removal.
Then when I got the 2011, I installed using metric bolts with a flange in both the bolt and the nut, I did use a drop of blue Loctite on all four bolts , maybe I didn’t shake the bottle enough, then again , it was a 1992 vintage bottle!
I’ll post pictures when I reinstall the bar in a few weeks.
Today , it’s sit at the mil’s while the furnace guys replace the 30 year old furnace.
It is snowing again anyways, yuck!
