Today a trip to the grocery store, then straight back home.

It wouldn’t dare rain on your beautiful HHR , and if it does, wash it again.

Had to get out of the house.
Pushed my car up and down the block.
It took me 2 hours.

I’m terrible at doing step by step, but I went off a YouTube Video and it worked awesome!

the only difference that I did, which made sense to me, was to do more pre-cleaning with a sponge and baking soda (borrowed from another video).

Lightbulb Wooly Worm Thought

First off I'm new to the HHR family. Bought my 06 LT2 last Thursday I've been reading posts since the day I found my car. Same day i bought her. I wrapped my replacement OEM Wooly Worm in heat resistant electrical tape. Figure a preemptive measure rather than chasing a problem.

New wipers in front and back! Car was almost yellow from all of the oak tree pollen.

Well, someone was a terribly bad influence .....cough... PittKrewBowling ....

I decided since I was sick of seeing these hubcaps, and I needed to get tires anyway, I applied for a Goodyear credit card and was approved, plus $150 off the tires and the manager works a deal with the local wheel shop, so I got the wheels at $50 over cost.
All together, I ended up with 4 new AC Delco TPMS Sensors, Wheel Locks, Wheels and Goodyear Tires (Assurance MaxLife), Lifetime Balance & Rotate + 3 Yr Road Hazard. Out the door $1000 even (I negotiated).. Hey this is an excellent time to haggle in these shops right now, because they’re happy to have income, and very willing to work deals. Was easier to work a deal buying everything together, for sure.
Very pleased with the outcome.

here’s a before and after:

I am prepping used running boards and hardware to install on my '11 LT. The six brackets have been cleaned and painted, ACE Hardware had all of the nuts and bolts along with some washers I will need. Over the years, it appears the original square-head bolts reacted to the aluminum (?) support and the slots are a bit wide. My solution should work well.

The original color was silver, so I have already wet sanded them with 400 followed by 1000 grit. Going to paint and clear them tomorrow. My '11 is Mocha Steel Metallic.

Hope to install them by next weekend. Lots of reference material on this site!
