What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Thanks Blue and Sleeper. I am hoping it doesn't last too
long either. Guess will take it week by week... never had this much time
off since i started working in the fall of 1980 before i graduated high school.
"Blackie " . . . stayed hiding in the garage away from the little weather
we got over nite.

Today , Sweetie took the HHR out for a coffee with her Mim, after I got home from the cemetery.
I got work on the privacy fence and railing
Here’s yesterday’s picture , railing and privacy fence post
The railing
The horizontal boards for the privacy fence are 1 x 6 fence boards, the posts have 73” between them so no having to cut the 72” boards!
The railing is a 2x8 on top, a 2x4 underneath, and 1x6 fence boards cut to 38”, I still have some trim work to do and one more panel of the privacy wall.

Are you gonna do any stain or sealer when done ?
I would do the same as you if that was my deck. But hey, now you two can do some sunbathing in the buff!
Your idea is very innovative and I’ve personally never seen this kind of work before. Best of luck with it and looks like you’ve got it “nailed”.
I hope you decide to upload your “finish” work here. Would love to see.
Put the new rotors and pads on the rear. I'll do the fronts another day. (Still recovering from my surgery, so I've got to go easy)
Bedded the new pads in and all looks good.
Old stock rears.
New drilled and slotted rotors.

FMG, Very nice match up on those calipers!
So I went into overdrive and got the deck and walls finished, cleaned all the sawdust off the deck, tools, garage, all tools returned to their place in the tool box. Saws and work tables returned to the basement, I bought out the summer deck furniture, sat down with a cool drink, just a Soda and it’s raining! Another great job!
The deck chair and table
The barbecue by the wall
The table and chairs, ready for a cook out!

Didn't you read other posts from this forum that said you'll lose braking efficiency because of drilled and slotted rotors ?
Oh the pain.
I even installed the 14.5 foot long 2x8 to cap off the 6x6 posts, and the retractable clothes line, after all this deck expense, we can’t afford the clothes dry for awhile!!
The plank ties the posts together, just to finish things off
That grey round thingy is the clothes line.
