to be honest here in Hawaii, the sun and salt air really messed up the paint and metal, unfortunately I live right next to the beach.
This is quite possibly the first time I've heard anybody complain about being near a beach in Hawaii...

But I kinda like the music!

yesterday we went for a drive, 715 klms on one tank of fuel, the DIC showed still 135 klms left to go in that tank full . 7.1 litres per 100 klms. It was good to tour the province southwest of our house .

Today it’s a wash and detailing, then just hanging out at the house.

Oldblue:

Did you get Shmoo's HHR running?

What was the problem?

No not yet, me thinks the timing is out 180 degrees, possibly bent valves. We aren’t going to get back into it until Tuesday, due to the Thanksgiving weekend and family events. There are very small marks on the tops of each piston, so, first we will preform a compression test. Then decide if it’s just replace valves and head gasket.
I turned the crankshaft by hand with no resistance, so I’m not sure if that would have been enough to bend the valves.

I would come over to help, it would be fun.

Unfortunately, with the border closure it's not going to happen.

Looking forward to the border being open again, some are saying the end of October.

That would be awesome! But with the increase in cases, I doubt the border will reopen.
