Replaced upper radiator hoses and filler neck. There was a small leak.
Had it not been for the alternator being directly under the leak I would not have bothered replacing at this time.
Those clamps are a PITA so I bought the clamp tool. Made the job much easier.
Took a test drive, no leaks. Waiting now to cool down a little so I can burp the system.
The joys of working on your own vehicle.

I packed up , garden equipment, leaf vacuum, leaf blower, and drove over to my MIL’s to clean all the poplar, maple and oak leaves. So far I’ve picked up 2 of the paper garden waste bags, then when the truck arrives I’ll spread 3 yards of cedar mulch over the rose garden, to keep the rose of Sharon shoot let’s at bay!

The mulch arrived at 1:30 pm, which gave me time to replace the internal parts of the upstairs toilet, then we spread the mulch, and we’re home by 4:30 pm so 2 jobs at mother in law’s in one day! The HHR makes a great replacement for a pickup truck.

well havent been around much lately. work takes up more of my extra time. but what i have done recently is replace the A/C spark plugs, i am at 99,000 with my 06 2LT 2.4. runs much smoother as well as increased my mileage. bought new BFG Advantage tires. the ride is much smoother, even the wife noticed it. then i clay barred her and added the ceramic wax. what a difference!

i first tried to just ceramic it was ok. but it really needs the clay bar first. i know this is supposed to last longer but i PLAN on redoing it this spring. but i am going to wash/clay bar/wax/ceramic coat it. l will let you know the difference. the ceramic is real easy! with washing and clay bar took about 2 hrs!! man i am used to taking almost the full afternoon to do wash, clay bar and wax.

Nice! Clay bar really smooths the paint and brings out the shine!

Today, I had an hour or two , so I cleaned up the chrome rims, I used Lagostina stainless steel pot scrub, got a lot of the brake dust off !

Yesterday, yuck

Today cleaner!

Just got home from a great dinner at a local restaurant, Sweetie and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary, today!

Well it seems that when I have no plans or plans get canceled, I decide to do something to the BlackSwan, so I had 75 feet of 1/4 inch Chrome side molding, I had ordered a couple of years ago. Now I have always likes the look of a black car with chrome accents . The roll only cost me $1.50, so if I get tired of it or just plain don’t like it anymore, it won’t break the bank!

Oh, and I installed the red grille for the winter!

Chrome on a black car, what do you thinking it?

The chrome 2LT rims are what got me thinking!

And FMG, you’re correct, I was humming “to much time on my hands” by Styx the whole 20 minutes it took to apply the tape!
