Every oil change , I wipe the old grease off, then wipe the filler neck with a few drops of automatic transmission fluid on a paper towel, then the grease in the oring , it’s worked great for years on my cars.

Evening all !
nice rainy day here but the HHR looks Bright Blue from the rain lol
And found out that I will be a grampy again x2 :) 1 in August here in Me. and 1 in Ct. around November :) So they will be #6 and # 7 :) so my boys have been finding a way to stay warm lol
Took the old girl out for a cruise , and started to use the rear storage box's. I forgot I had those lol, So a few spare bulbs and fuses! and a spot light , I am sure I will find more to stuff in there :)
Some high winds and snow tonight so put on my mirror covers to make de icing easier !
You all have a great evening and Stay Safe

First time this year that I've taken the HHR out... Had to pick up a few things at the store.

I also noticed rust on the gas tank opening. That can't be a good thing. I have owned numerous cars in my life and have never seen that before.
Just sorting out what was left of my mis-quoted post..

Radco! Congratulations !

Sleeper, thank you for clearing that up.

Today , it’s hovering around the freezing point, might just clean the interior.

Yeah, that’s nasty, but start to clean it up with a squirt of PB Blaster, then wipe it down with automatic transmission fluid in a paper towel, and grease the opening of the filler neck , keep the corrosion from coming back

Had a howling brake issue at slow speeds.
So today I decided to remove the caliper pins and relube them.
Found LR pads had uneven wear so it looks like new pads for the back.
