I had a few building projects planned at home this year that I am putting off until next year, including a large deck on the back of the house.

The building lumber prices are insane. Interestingly, hardwood lumber prices haven't gone up much.

Here is some humor to get a few laughs out of the situation, since there isn't much we can do about it:

Today I drove to the hardware store picked up paint and roller refills, drove back home and painted the fresh drywall in the rec room

Before , from last Saturday, I taped and compounded Monday and did second compounding on Wednesday.

Today, it’s painted, Brandied Pear! A fancy schmananzy name for light almond

Still laughing. But what a shame about the prices.. I had planned a wood project as well. But shelved for better times.

HHR out to get some mower 100% gas. $3 a gal !!! Arrgh..

Yesterday and today, just short road trips out for walks, get some fresh air and exercise.

No Bob Villa , no Marlin Perkins.

the replacement TPMS sensor arrived, I get that changed this week.

Which TPMS sensor did you buy? I assume one of the ones from Rock Auto. My daughters new SS has a couple of dead sensors and I need to get new ones.

I bought a set off EBay for the summer tires and another set last fall for the winter tires. 13598772 is the GM part number , they are rubber style not the metal screw together.

for the 2009 SS, go with 20925924, if you order from RockAuto they are $50 each or go to EBay and order a set of 4 for $55, and wait the 1 to 2 months for them from China, they are all made there anyway. And you save $150.00!

Ok, so Sweetie took the BlackSwan out for a lunch with her female friends, so I went downstairs and installed the baseboards and window trim! More Dean Johnson then Norm Abrams!
