Forgive me for not heading the warnings of the HHR gurus.
What warning is that? Are you supposed to use the old seal?

Took the HHR to my son's to do a tree removal.
45* and sunny :) but like any free lunch we will pay later lol
Got that tree down this am, Or should I say 5 trees :O 1 tree had 5 3" to 6" suckers off the stump. Now this spring rip out the trunk, Then plant a new tree !
I do not know why I like my HHR so much, after all the flack I get from the haters lol Just a fun car to drive !
Have a good day

The warning was to NOT use the Felpro crankshaft gasket as they tend to leak.
So an ACDelco is going in

I used the Felpro front crankshaft seal and it is a leaker.
The gasket for the cover shows no sign of a leak.
Installing ACDelco P/N 12584041 this weekend.

Same here the cover gasket is fine , the FelPro seal leaked, it was easy to change out the seal, a piece of 1 1/2 inch plastic plumbing pipe fit nice to drive the seal into place.

Drove out to get my booster shot, enjoyed Lowrider by War, Panama by Van Halen, and most appropriately, Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, and half of I want a Drug by Huey Lewis and the News! The Pioneer system can still Cramk It !!
