Well when you said it wouldn't be expensive I thought I was in luck with a $12.00 part...now it's $150.00 more.

I have a bad run lately. The car breaking down a couple of weeks ago...and also got Covid again. I'm tapped out at the moment. Life should not stress anyone out this much. 😭

I absolutely agree 100%. But I don't have an endless supply of money. I haven't worked a full 40 hours in I don't know how long. Between back issues from last years wreck, ongoing severe headaches from lingering effects of Covid and car inoperable...it's cost me dearly in the wallet.

I had someone unexpectedly die back in November due to a drug overdose. He was only 27 years old and I had known him since the day he was born. His mom used to be my roommate back in the 80s. I had known his dad since I was probably 19. The parents of young man met at my first wedding. He was like another son to me. His parents didn't have the money for any kind of service for him. The dad is on disability. They set up a gofundme account asking for help. I really didn't have the money to spare but still donated $100 because it was the right thing to do. If something happened to my kids I would be in the same situation.

Sorry that's totally off topic but just reinforcing I know tons of people have it worse than I do right now. Including my cousin who lost both parents within a week about 6 weeks ago.

Just did my first oil change on this thing - ridiculously easy, as is pretty much everything on these cars.

I definitely recommend these to younger or actually any folks who want to buy a cheap car and learn how to maintain or work on cars.

Front brakes tomorrow if it's warm enough - I want to paint the calipers at the same time so it needs to be a little warm or I'll have to use the heat gun to warm them up and dry them.

I had started watching that one earlier. But since he was doing other things as well...I wasn't sure things he was doing was necessary for just the timing belt.
