What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Easy. Yes. Clean the area around the solenoids before removal. Don't want any debris to fall into the engine when you pull out those old solenoids. Be careful with the wire plugs. Don't want to damage the connectors.
Put a dab of oil on the O-ring of the new solenoids for easier installation. Make sure they are all the way installed before tightening the bolts down.
The solenoids are specific intake/exhaust. They are color coded. Make sure you install them in the correct location.
(not sure but maybe they can't be installed on the wrong side ?)
Gave the HHR a Bath today, Then went back home to get my truck, It needed a bath as well !

Today , I have a driveway full of drifted snow, so after that, we are staying home! I topped up the fuel tank, $50.00 bought me 27 litres, at $1.84.6 /litre. At some stations it’s $2.20.9/ litre.

Treat the cold air intake hose (aka “wooly worm”) with great care. They tend to be fragile in their old age, so disconnect it carefully before removing the air box. Unplug the MAF sensor first too, and remember to plug it back in when you’re done.
