Changed oil and oil filter, and installed a Fumoto oil drain valve.

What is the Fumoto part numbers for the drain valve? Did you use the extension? I'm thinking about using this valve on my HHR.

The valve is F-137, and the adapter is ADP-137.

At first I didn’t think I’d need the adapter, but tried to put the valve on without it, and it wouldn’t thread in all the way. So it’s definitely required, at least on my SS.

That article was brutal to read - like a middle school kid wrote it - glad it was apparently an April Fool's Day joke.

Yup, clearly an April Fool’s joke.
Not all that funny, actually…

Found I'm leaking oil from the VVT(s). Looked like exhaust. Reinstalled it. Will see what happens.
The scary part was the 500 mile drive. Seems it *just* started as I got home. No oil level loss.
Will test drive it and check again in a day or so.

Took the electric mower apart and cleaned it all up while waiting for HHR for cool down Was a LOT of muck & mung under the motor cover. Might put a filter/screen over the grill.

Just picked up a used Curt hitch for the HHR. The thing is a lot heavier than I thought - I only bought it for my bike rack - how did the hitch affect handling and ride for anyone who's toted a couple of bikes around on it? It seems like the hitch is so heavy I even feel the weight just riding in the hatch area on the way back from the pick and pull.

And speaking of that, this came off a white HHR that had a great tan leather interior with the steering wheel controls in good shape. If anyone is looking for an upgrade, I'll send you the name of the place in the metro Detroit area. The hitch only cost me $40.
