Thank you, today, it’s reassembling the BlackSwan, I took the plunge and removed the front cover to change the water pump, took the balance shaft chain tensioner out , changed the pump , torqued the three bolts, replaced the tensioner.
I have some work to do, the exhaust heat shield, air cleaner box, start it up and burp the coolant.

Pumps done, coolant cooling off from 180 degrees. Front end high!
I put everything back together that I removed to access the balance shaft chain and the water pump.
more fresh 50/50 Dexcool. Even tho it’s only 2 weeks old. I figured it’s flushed out the 3 year old Dexcool.
and I even changed the oil.

This weekend I changed the spark plugs at 106K, as I had no idea when they were last replaced. They were NGK so must have been replaced at some point.
I cleaned up the tail lights, I will see how long they last or if I just need to bite the bullet and replace them.

I decided to replace the cabin filter as well, again no idea when it was last replaced. Had a hard time getting it out and found this vent thingy was the reason:

Not sure how important it is, but I doubt the bean counters would have included it, if it did not have a purpose? I checked the defrost and heater vents and they all seem to blow air fine?
any thoughts on if it is worth the hassle of pulling it apart to find where it goes, or just leave it out?

Thanks!
DavidE.

How exactly did you treat the tails? They look pretty good!

SSStarman I agree the tail lights look great !
I am not impressed with the Turtle wax kit !
For the Cabin Air Filter if you get a heavy wire like 10ga electrical wire or a coat hanger wire bend a small hook one one end , It will grab the CAF and pull it out enough to grab !

Thanks, I will pull the cowl this weekend, and see if I can see where it goes.
For the tails, I just used the 3M headlight kit.
Thanks!!
