Old steering wheel was looking and feeling rough so I stitched up a leather cover. Wishing I would have had silver or black thread instead of the Red that came with it. If I do it again I'll be taking the wheel off.

Washed the exterior, vacuumed and detailed the interior, went for a ride in the countryside, came back home!

how hard was that/how long did that take?
I'm not a fan of most steering wheel covers, at least the stitched-on ones look semi-normal, but I have zero sewing skills

Was cleaning out my workshop and found these floor and cargo mats from my SS. Honestly didn’t even remember there was a cargo mat until I found them. At least they were wrapped and sealed up. I put them in storage the day I got the car new in 2010.

Took me a few hours. If I was doing it again I would pull the wheel for more professional transitions at the spokes. Took me a while to get the hang of keeping everything tight as I went. I would run 3-4 stitches with one hold it tight while I followed with the second needle. The first section I had to go back with a pick 3-4 times to get everything tight.
pretty much like lacing shoes.

Took a drive out to Black Creek along the Niagara River , went for a walk , watched some swans swimming about. Drove home!
