Today I feel like I've accomplished one of the main HHR goals: I replaced the blower motor on my wife's HHR. Actually, I didn't do any of the work. My limber nephew did the work while I told him what to do. The one easy thing is that the motor was not original so all we had to do was unscrew the retainer ring. Someone else had previously cut the motor from its plastic cup.

Well, if you had to replace it for a 2nd time, then you should be asking “Why ?”
2006 model ? Then you may want to check the butyl patch. Is it leaking and letting water get into the cabin filter and blower motor ?

Yes he has a 2006, so butyl patch is a must to inspect.

Today was appointment day, Sweetie for eye appointment, then breakfast and a visit with family in the hospital. Sweetie’s auntie had a hip replacement.

The first replacement was done by the dealer while the previous owner had it. There was no sign of water intrusion into the cab and we've never seen any signs of water getting in to the cabin. This particular motor died because the bearings seized.

We are supposed to get 11 inches of snow tonight. What is your forecast?

Similar but we’re more in the middle of the peninsula south of the escarpment.

82F here yesterday. Cooler today with scattered showers and a high of 78F.
Yellow pollen and even the lawns have greened up already.
Don’t know how you folks deal with that white stuff. 🥶

Usually sitting in our living room, watching the snow fall, a cinnamon adult beverage and a YouTube fireplace video. The insurance for a real wood burning fire place is crazy money!
Sometimes more for my ego than not, I start up my 1978 MTD snow thrower and clear my driveway, but the last couple of snow storms were heavy wet snow that just clogged up the snow shute. So a bit of shoveling is inevitable and more cinnamon adult beverages!
another month and it’ll be time to change the winter tires for summer!
