What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Last night The dreaded CEL illuminated with 'REDUCED POWER' on the DIC.
Pulled out the trusty Ancel OBD II reader and P0122 was the code.
It read 'TPS, low voltage'.
So I checked the 'live readings' and saw 'voltage 12.1'
HMMM, looks like a weak battery.
Replaced battery and all is well.

After my appointment, we took a drive out to Stratford Ontario, it’s been 60 years since Christopher Plummer and William Shatner started their career’s in the theatre there. We walked around the pond saw Big Nick preening

The new tires have a lot more 'bite' than the last set, which were worn just shy of the wear bars. I was having a hard time not spinning the front tires when accelerating from a stop; now they hook up nicely.
The shop apparently did a good job on the balance and alignment, as it drives better than when I got it. The only thing I didn't like was that the shop overinflated the tires by 8 lbs. Once I fixed that it rides wonderfully.
For some reason, almost every time I've had tires put on a car the inflations are incorrect. I can see being a few pounds off due to differences in tire gauges, but there's no excuse for being off by 8 or 10. It's a mystery.

I just moved it over in the driveway to wash it, I spotted a drip spot under the front end and yep it’s the passenger side output shaft seal , leaking again! I just replaced that 1 1/2 weeks ago.
a new Detroit axle cv shaft, new seal a couple of months ago . I’ve replaced the seal 5 times in the last year or so.
Any suggestions, besides a new transmission or new pickup truck!
Ive replaced seals and never had a leak problem like this. I used Permatex transmission RTV around the outside of the seal , the cv shaft eliminated the cup and stub shaft, so that’s not it. I’m not aware of any inner seal.
I found this kit online to stabilize the output shaft, I’ve ordered the kit, I’ll update when I receive it and install it

A lot of tire shops just make sure that are real full. I always check the psi COLD after any tire work is done.. & check torque on the lug nuts.
Haven't checked the lug nuts, but will do that as well.
On aluminum rims, should re-check torque after 50 miles or so as well.
