Well SOLD my 2011 HHR
Running great just the new car bug got me !
My son still has his 2011 2LT so I am sure I will have some question later on,
I do muss the HHR it was fun to drive but the little extra room and 40MPG + or+ helps ease the pain :)
No it is not a Hybrid just gas !
It is a 2023 Elantra SEL W/Convenience Package and I a still do not know all the functions lol But do like the Bun warmer with are 30/40 * mornings !

Thanks Steve it was a Birthday gift to me from me for turning 70 and still annoying my kids lol
I do miss my HHR but I do have a bit more room, fits my 6ft3 200lbs pretty good lol and 40 + or- mpg is a plus, Best so far was 46.7 mpg
My HHR was also good with a average 28mpg; But at 100k on it and 90k on my truck I wanted something newer to do my 6/7 hr road trip to see family in Ct. But still kicking myself a lttle about the HHR lol

Been having mountain/radio issues here in Phoenix.
Yes, we have some hills here that the locals call mountains.
Contacted CravenSpeed, the maker of my Stubby antenna, and discovered they are making a 7.5 in antenna.
Their 'Stubby' is 4 inches long
So I ordered one and will report if it helped with my problem.

Rich, Happy 70th birthday! I’m just a year behind you, I turned 69 on the 17th of April. I’m planning on keeping my HHR , now that the pesky axle seal leak has finally been fixed!
Lonwane, check the threads on the 4 inch stubby antenna, I put some dielectric grease on the threads, get as good if not better reception than my stock antenna.

Today a drive to the Costco, groceries and shop supplies, a jug of 5W30 Dexos oil. Then we stopped for a coffee.

Thanks Steve, I do miss the HHR but it was time to move on.., I did not want to use the HHR for my 6/7 hr road trips to Ct. to see family, The HHR had about 98k on it so not too bad ! It did not need much as it was well taken care of !
Hope I have as good of luck w/ the Elantra as I did with the HHR ! I gave the CAF.Af and anything related to my HHR to my son for his !
And I figure if I croak during surgery in a couple weeks my kids get a new car lol
Now just Tad over 1000k on it now so almost ready for a road trip :)

Kudos to Olblue for his expertise and assistance, and Fastsuv for his write-up and photos for replacement of the shift solenoids, the HHR is
"back on the road again"
Thanks Steves' much appreciated.
