What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
Cleaned up pass side headlight, it was more yellow than clear, used ceramic headlight restore kit and it worked good for clearing up the film and buffing the lens. the coating made it crystal clear. We will see how long it lasts... drivers side must have been replaced as it is still good looking.
Been dumping a load of time and money into the Wife's Trailblazer, 2008 and only 140K miles. Now it has new steering rack, hoses, and front wheel bearings in the last month. We were in Nebraska and the power steering failed, had to stay an extra day to have it replaced ($1700) and then a few weeks later, the bearings got real noisy, so they got replaced too. Put new brake pads and rotors on earlier this year too. I think she has a new truck now!! Happy wife, happy life (??)

So, SISU started running a little rough 2 days ago. Not bad but noticeable.
Gas mileage dropped a little.
This morning the battery light came on and out came the OBD reader.
11.9v standing, 11.8v running.
After 17 years and 205k the alternator died.
2.5 hours and $190 later all is well again.

New regulator for SS LR window arrived, went in easily enough, used 3M weatherstripping glue to stick the foam back in. Also, the foam seal on the door speaker had rottened away, just like on the other side, so that got replaced with some Frost-king househould self-stick weatherstripping. Stopped there because the door liner is missing a couple fasteners. Apparently it had been off before.
It was cooler outside today so I got back at the dents, they all took a couple of tries but they pulled out nicely.
Then we drove out to Vineland for vegetables and corn on the cob and lunch
