Today, just sitting, watching the snow starting to fall, there’s a winter storm warning in my area.

Humorous when they call a severe weather alert for 2-4 inches of snow, no travel advised today and we got Maybe 1/2 inch of snow, all the city plow trucks were out plowing bare roads. and it was mid 30's temp most of the day. It was a good day to install a new thermostat...

These kids at city hall are nervous about a repeat of the blizzard of 1977. Shakin in their boots. Our house had drifted snow to the roof. Now that was a storm. No warning, and no alerts.

and we have snow, snow, and snow... with more or less intensity, week after week,
temperature -20C / -25C (-4F / -13F) tomorrow, today, yesterday and beyond for many days in both directions, into the past and into the future.
But there is good news - the sun! For the first time in many days, the clouds thin out and the sun sometimes breaks through the frosty haze, forming circles of sparkling crystals in the air. The night decreases, the light day begins to increase and already reaches 7 hours and 11 minutes, but I still drive to and from work in the darkness of the night.
Hippo feels good, starts up and runs around like a young dog, waving his butt affably in the icy ruts and on the tram tracks.
