Awesome, enjoy the ride! Most times it’s the simple things.

Never did my recalls. No issues. Rather not have the dealership mess something up (even if unintentionally) if I have no real reason.

I hear ya & feel same way, I was just looking up the value of my 08 Panel 2LT w/ only 37,5K miles, & because of the open safety recall it really crunched the value. Not happy about that.
I never had issues either. Hope they don't screw it up..

Well my Ign switch & ign cylinder & keys recall (N140092) & (N140113) has been officially fixed. Got in & out.. With new 2 keys & never lost any of my presets.

So seems good. so far.. I tried both the keys in the door & works well.

Took pipe to local welder and he did it for $40. If this doesn't work I'll try the new pipe.

Installed new gaskets on both ends of this.

May have my dad go down to smog it tomorrow morning since they open late.

Yes, I had 2 & got 2 new & improved keys. The new ones only have small hole in it for key ring, as opposed to the long slot in old keys. (They keep old ones of course).

Glad it's done with, I've been collecting Recall letters since about 2012 or so ? Anyhow, long time.. Too long.

The slot in the old keys was determined to be part of the problem. Seems the weight of your other keys, plus your fob, plus your bottle opener, plus your pepper spray cannister, plus your nail clippers, plus your lucky rabbit's foot, hanging off-center, might provide enuff force to turn off the ignition if you hit a really big bump. (Off course that would never happen if the original switch detents wouldn't have been so wimpy.)

They are supposed to remind you of what the owners manual already says; to only insert the key keep all that other crap in your pocket. But they don't bother because they know no one is going to do that.

I talked the dealer into letting me keep my old keys. You know, in case I got locked out of the car.

Also, I needed a couple new chip keys. The cheapest ones available on Ebay has slots. They worked great!
