Replaced my lower control arms today. The Good: very easy and relatively inexpensive job - $200 and two hours. The Bad: I noticed the Rust Monster was creeping up last week when I replace the motor and trans mounts, today I got a better look and it’s worse than I thought. I figure another winter or two and it’s time to get a replacement - hopefully a Chevy Bolt EUV which is the closest thing out there to an HHR and I really want an EV for a get around town car.
unless it's something critical... please do not go to the dealer for any sort of service or parts right now... or at least call ahead and ask if they run on CDK
CDK is a massive dealer program, everything in the building runs on it, sales, service, parts, inventory... they got hit with back to back cyber attacks last week
over 15K dealers are essentially dead in the water right now (the number supposedly jumps to 30K once you factor in trucks and other companies (like my rental fleet)
it's been an absolute nightmare at work... and they have no ETA on fixing it, anywhere from days to weeks,
Today, a run to the blood clinic for last of my blood tests, just 1 more chemo treatment on Wednesday!!
then we are going for breakfast and to the farm to pickup eggs.

The Bolt has far less cargo space than the HHR.... if you are not totally against another ICE vehicle, we just bought a 2024 Trax, and they are really nice for the money- heck, they are just plain nice. We got the LT version, and it's very well equipped for the entry level Chevy.
AC pressure valve replaced. 2 months ago the motor was pulled to replace some expensive part on my tranny. Not sure I can blame my pot hole for this repair. But now I have a little front wheel wobble. I can probably blame the pot hole again. Phooey!

I am looking at those along with the Bolt but they’re still a bit pricey right now and are a popular car in my area. The little three cylinder kind of worries me a bit too. The Bolt also has all kind of tax incentives and prices are really reasonable, and I really like the idea of lower maintenance. Can you put a six foot ladder or 2x4 in there and close the hatch like the HHR?
Today is chemotherapy treatment #8, and just for fun Sweetie was on her way home from gym classes and the check engine light came on , P0172. I have some investigating to do.
