Took my Panel in for an oil change at 7AM at the mechanic shop I like.

Talked to the owner of the shop and showed him the parts I picked up yesterday.

He said that he and I could do the swap over a weekend whenever I was ready, said it would be done by Sunday if we started on a Friday after he closed the shop.

He said, You'll wrench and i'll tell you what to do.

Should be cool.

Picked up parts yesterday and had to pick up the Blower this afternoon.

Read my "Injection is Nice, But..." thread in the 2.4 section for more details.

If the shop has never done this before.... Well, beware! There is a lot more involved than what most realize.

Just be prepared to be walking on Mon., bud.

PM me for more info.

Yeah, A&P, without a tune for that blower don't expect to be driving it out of there.

Oh I understand that, I asked if he does that, he said he has a guy that does them. John the owner is 3 years older than I and is a total gear head, having several hot rods of his own.
I didn't ask him much more, but you can bet, Before I have all the parts together, and have them ready, I will be doing alot of research on Exactly what needs to be done and in what order.

I truely am in No real hurry to do this install, I am torn on what I should do with having so much of my warranty still left on the car.

hhrfreek also mentioned what he bought for his 2.4 install and I will be talking to him more about that. We have talked via PM and on the phone.

While his install on his 2.4 is Fresh in his mind I have been asking questions and taking Notes for this. I'll be searching out threads here, talking to CJ, and i'll hit the Cobalt forums.

I got plenty if time to go over this install fully before ever turning a wrench for it. This is more than likely not gonna be done until Next year, giving me plenty of time to get everything needed and Learn all I can before we do it.

I rolled up my sleeves, gathered all my resources and got to a big one yesterday...

yep, I pulled the DRL fuse, 'cause I hate headlights on during the day.

Not much, dusted her off and logged on to check the tracking # for the K&N intake I bought. Looks like it's in IA as of this morning and at this rate looks like it'll arrive Sat./Mon. at home. (Patience isn't one of my 'best' suits sometimes lol)

Later

Cranked up Paddy and headed over to Enterprise, picked up a rental HHR for a road trip, same one I rented from them in March. At least now it has decent tires, the back door works, and instead of turning left when you hit the brakes...it turns right!
