Ventured out into the heat(97 and still climbing today), to burble over to the airport in Paddy, talked to the A&P mechanic about the RPM drop on the left magneto...this will be another bill I won't be happy to see in the Cessna file.

Left $55 behind at the Hess station to top up the Paddy wagon and came home, enough excitement for one day.

Sounds like you're really going to town Greybeard, looking forward to seeing your "re-badging" work.

Removed the Two-Tone dealer applied plastic pin stripes.

The sun was hot enough to easily remove them and I used 3M Automotive Wax & Grease Remover to remove the remaining glue.

SPOILER ALERT!!

Dad just called me and we talked. Happened to mention something about, Mum not liking me rollin' on potato skins. Guess what my early birthday present is? Yep. New tires! Michelins! Woooooo!

Also, detailed Stiglitz, and took some new photos.. not sure if I can get photos updated before Featured Submission voting, if not, then next month!

Been busy, yes... "going to town"? depends on how you look at it...... for one of these young whipper-snappers we got around here it would have been 2-3 hours.... for me it took all day, and now I can barely move.

But! wheels and tires are cleaned up (they were in the basement flood..... there was a lot of salt in that snowmelt water plus all the mud which then dried. So much for trying to keep the Euromax out of harms way ) Oil and filters changed, some dress up stuff finished, etc. Tomorrow the summer wheels get installed, alignment checked, brakes checked (rears adjusted) 29 point inspection or whatever they call it, etc. etc..... Goodyear had better treat me right, I'm into them for some big bucks with TWO SETS of Eagles last year.

Sorry to hear there may be an airplane expense in the near future..... I can't imagine.

Trust me Greybeard, I'm right there with ya in the "can barely move" department, must have walked...errr...limped about ten miles over the weekend. On the aircraft repair, I'm kinda philosophical on the expense, some people have boats which are holes in the water where money goes, I have The Cannibal Queen which is a hole in the sky where the money goes.

But when she's working fine, she's working fine!

You're restless!
It turns out that you are also a pilot! Which aspects of your life I do not know?
I Do not be surprised if you have hobby a submarine, bear hunting, consultant Afghan government, or even write women's novels under the pseudonym of Sara Rose.
I admire your life energy.

No submarine I'm afraid, the government never sells them to civilians. I did hit a bear with a car twenty years ago, but I'm not sure that counts as hunting. Not a government consultant, our government seems to have no places for intelligent people. Most assuredly not a romance novelist, but my Mother is working on her second adventure novel.

I'm just an ordinary guy with very varied interests and an understanding wife.

To keep things OT, new folks moved into the condo complex yesterday and they have an '06 1LT, time to pimp the site and get more new blood here.

You're a great guy, Mike.
American reality gives you plenty of opportunities, and you use them at 100%. That's cool. Once again I say to you - I admire your life energy.
