What's the fun of pointing your finger and writing checks when the Emergency Room folks are just so nice and friendly, oh yeah, not having to go see the Emergency Room folks...silly me.

Its not too bad right now unless I forget and do something like attempting to raise my right arm more than a few inches, then I see stars and funny little cartoon birdies flying around my head.

Thanks man, I'm on the Disabled List for a while, oh well....stuff happens. My worst fear is sneezing, I've already taken a Zyrtec just in case my nose even thinks about letting fly with a sneeze. The last time I had broken ribs I managed to catch a head cold too, on the first sneeze I saw stars, on the second one I saw Elvis, and the third sneeze had me crying for Mommy.

This is the sixth time I've broken ribs since 1980, its a familiar pain to say the least. Time to hit the couch for the Late Late Show, and then more "happy pills"....yay!

Yeah, no sneezing or laughing allowed....... for a month or more. When my back is at it's worse, sneezing will put me on the floor, no time to see anything. Ribs are different, they allow time to see "groovy visuals".

Take care, Mike...... No more ladders for you!

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone it really means a lot to me. My wife is alternating now between babying me and scolding me for "doing a dumb". I had to think this morning about all the broken ribs over the last 30 years and here's the list.

1. football
2. football
3. motorcycle (dirt bike)
4. race car
5. a philosophical discussion in a bar (Memphis Tennessee, you should have seen the other guy)
6. falling off a ladder yesterday

Just to stay on topic, Michelle is taking Boo Boo over to the tire shop this morning for a new set of Continentals. The Firehawks are going away with only 17,000 miles on them, awful tires, just awful.
