What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
#5031
Finally got off my a$$ and started working on the rebuild of my HHR.
Started phase one of my color change.
First I pulled out all of my stereo equipment.
Pulled all of my lower interior plastics today. Washed, scuffed, prepped, primed; and then painted and low-lustre cleared them with SEM products. Went from the grey interior, to satin black.
Just need to go shopping for some faux suede, to do the headliner and pillars.
Then a buddy has some ebony seats to go in there as well, that I'll be putting suede inserts into.

Can't wait to see the Transformation, and the new Audio setup you install.

I washed and waxed the SS with my 5yo daughter. She had a blast. It's only the second time since I got it over 2 years ago I was able to do it myself. I'm disabled due to a neck injury and don't get many days I feel good enough to do much of anything much less tackle such a big task. I'm hurting now and it will be a painful evening and tomorrow but it was worth it doing it with my kid. She is so proud of how she made it look soo pretty with my help. :)

I washed it and then ran the line for the oil pressure gauge through the firewall and tied it off in the engine compartment. Tomorrow I will try and remove a galley and tie the line into the block. Wednesday may be a clay bar day then.
