Trust me, I'm not feeling sympathetic because I'm quite furious about the whole deal. She does need some kind of help because she has degenerated into such a state over the last few months as to be almost unrecognizable. I doubt she will have(or does have)any memory of last night, I think that she probably passed out either pulling into the complex or very shortly thereafter.

Unless she moves away, she will have a few vivid reminders of her mistake laid out before her as she comes and goes. As a lawyer and former prosecutor, I want the book thrown at her because I've lost friends to drunk drivers too....and I've also put them away after destroying families and lives forever. Hopefully the authorities will also go after whatever establishment continued to serve her after her inebriation became readily apparent...they should and probably will lose their license.

I hear ya man... What Sux is the system. Sitting in the drunk tank is appropriate for overnight, but doing a lil time behind bars is not the answer. Should be court mandated to get help (in house) & later given probation with the stipulation to have to do random urine tests, at their expense..

You fail, hello jail..

No-one can make someone stop, but this could give some a possible alternative...

Just sayin..

I got my window replaced yesterday afternoon, all is well again with the car. Due to the installer's schedule not really jibing with mine though, I didn't get enough sleep, and woke up in the evening with a nasty headache. I called out from work, so now that means that this morning I'll be installing those IPCW taillights. As they say, 'gotta make rain when the sun shines', or 'every cloud has a silver lining', right?

Sorry to hear about your situation, 843. Mine pales in comparison. Hopefully all will be well with yours again soon. More importantly, hopefully this *will* be a wake-up call for the gal that crashed, and that she can find the help she needs. That help is NEVER at the bottom of a bottle. I pray she finds good counseling for her personal and chemical issues.

I installed the Bermuda Black IPCW taillights this morning. Was pretty easy, though I had some slight confusion with how they actually hooked up. Either I don't read well, or the instructions weren't clear enough to this old fart that the new connectors are simply the same as the base of the old bulbs. Once I figured all that out, it was a piece of cake. It's daylight out, so I didn't bother trying to get any good 'lit' pictures, but they do put out decent light. especially the brake/flasher and the backup sections.

I am very pleased with the choice of Bermuda Black. They go well with the dark gray and the dark glass. Here's a pic:

And for those who are wondering, here's a closeup of the sticker in the back window.

Thanks, I think I mentioned this Cemetery in my sound deadening thread.

I mentioned I have a generator and wanted to bring it along with a few of my fog machines (I have 8) and take late night pics here.

Wife said even tho the gates are open at night the cops would be kicking me out if I tried setting all that up at night.

I had 1 of my skeletons in back but decided to just take some pics Quick and get out before any cops showed up to escort me Out.

Thanks.

My wife is the one who will go out to different ones she has some books about them in chicago, and some other books about chicago haunts and history.
She showed me pics she took of Al Capones grave, so that's were you'll see my Panel at next time.

We have alot of famous peoples graves around here. And some really Old Cemeteries to go drive around in. Some graves are so old the carvings in the headstones are worn down to nothing but a faint hint of anything on them. People take paper and a lead from a pencil to gently go over the paper while holding it to the headstones face to get a impression of whats still readable that way.

This fall once the trees are bare should yield some spookier pics.

Bachelors Grove Cemetery is close by but you can no longer get to it in your car.
We would go there as kids and swim in the pond, and look at the old headstones.

Bachelor's Grove Cemetery is a small, abandoned cemetery in the Chicago metropolitan area. It is located near Midlothian and Oak Forest, Illinois in the Rubio Woods Forest Preserve on the Midlothian Turnpike. It is well-known for its haunted stories and ghost sightings. There are countless reports of glowing balls, apparitions, squeaks, moans, groans and unexplained noises. Its adjacent pond is also known for rumored mafia affiliation with Al Capone.[citation needed]
