What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?

Well, I just wanted to wash it since it looks like about 6 straight days of sun coming up. I went to work my usual back way and for whatever brain deprived reason the borough decided to cut up and stone a perfectly flat and well paved road. I thought they just roughed it up a bit for some reason. Didn't know it was stoned until I got to a sharp S turn and the car took off ass end first for the woods. Cruise shut off, traction control came on. I cut it back quick to the left and it literally "drifted" trhough the S curve.
Stopped at the car wash after work to find that the whole back of the car (seeing as it is a hatch back and their fondness of throwing everything against the back hatch) was covered in thousands and thousands of pin head sized tar spots.
Had plans for tonight but had to scrap that so I could go and get bug and tar remover and a new clay bar kit and detail the f**k out if it. Want it to look good for the Tail of the Dragon Cruise at the end of the month. Don't want it to look like it has an undercoat paint job. If I couldn't have got the tar off I was going to go to the borough office and demand they pay for a full detailing to get the crap off. (I do live in the car detail and auction capital of the world by chance)
(note: excessive use of smileys to get my point across)

Love the smilies, sure glad you slid in a workable direction. Got to love that tar and bug spray stuff, it does wonders for Fir sap too
I installed the poly sway bushings they are much smoother, nice.

Maintenance day for the Paddy-Wagon. Oil change and filter, greasing of the sway bar end links and bushings, and adjusting the rear brakes that got missed last week when the Continentals went on.
This afternoon the critter goes into the body shop to have the lower valance repaired and the splitter replaced after last month's incident involving a wayward valet parking attendant.
Nothing too exciting for a 10,000th post, but there are times when I'm kind of boring ya know.
