ROCKS !! set on #2,,, so I could see it would be easy to drop another k on speakers. It's proprietary, Darn thing only wants to talk to "I" stuff . I might have to break down and get a I phone, so we can just get along.

Revision; I talked it into playing with my phone, we are streaming blue tooth audio. Look mom no wires.

Hmmm, we all now know how Sam is on Christmas morning with a new toy.

Back to OT....Cranked up the Paddy-Wagon for a run over to the airport so I could retrieve my phone from the Cessna, my wife is right, I would forget my head if it weren't attached.

Michelle says I should get one, but she wonders if there should be a model that beeps when I wander away, something about me and my money being easily parted in certain places like model train stores and hobby shops.

So Mike what size coat do you wear, one of these with the retracting leash/tail will do it.

this is what I did today. quite easy, and works like a charm. except I don't much care for quick-splices, so i soldered a t-wire and put weatherpack connectors on each end. I also have the ability to quickly unhook the t-wire and plug everything back together stock style. i rule lol.

Geez Sam, Michelle nearly fell over laughing at your latest idea for "controlling a wandering spouse".

Since I had planned to be on a trip today I avoided the office and instead cruised to the airport in the Paddy-Wagon to delve into my Cessna's mechanical issue that grounded us on Saturday.

Its one of those bad news/good news deals. The bad news is that the engine suffered a catastrophic failure in the accessory drive-train leading to the loss of the left magneto on the engine run up. The good news is that we avoided losing the engine in flight, or worse, on takeoff which could have made life "interesting" to say the least.

So my winter project under the supervision of my A&P tech is the replacement of the seriously wounded Jacobs R-755-A2 engine with a new one I've had stored for the last ten years. Here's a pic of the new one, nice and shiny ain't it, 7 cylinders and 325 hp just waiting to go.

This concludes the aviation update, and because Sam will probably ask, no I'm not rebuilding the old engine to shove in an HHR, it won't fit....already measured.
