So the Sleeper-Mobile got some new shoes, very nice!
As for me, I picked up my lovely wife after leaving the office for dinner, and then we scooted over to the Charlotte Motor Speedway to see the Christmas lights.
This is the second year the speedway has been decorated for the holidays and open to the public. All told there are 3+ million lights along a 4.7 mile tour of the facility and track.
The highlight for me was the "oh boy, oh wow, geez!!" that came out of Michelle's mouth as I took Paddington around turns three and four right up against the wall on the 24 degree banking.
Its an interesting sensation to say the least when you're 6" away from the wall, tilted over at angle, and looking down from the height of a four story building. Here's two pictures that came out OK, we're going back in a few days with a real camera because the one in my Droid phone stinks in low light situations.

Not the first time Paddy has cruised the high banks at CMS, but tonight was Michelle's first taste of the banking from inside a vehicle, its a hoot.
It was funny being up against the wall looking down at the other cars and trucks hugging the apron, I'm sure there were a few "that little truck is gonna fall over" or "no way kids, Daddy ain't going up there in a minivan, not going to happen".
Probably a bit of jealousy in the garage tonight, Paddy has logged about ten laps of the track, and the SS has been around too. I wonder if the rest of the fleet/herd/whatever is wondering what makes those two so special.

Stopped by Griots to get my Nephew a stocking stuffer. Found some fords on display, they are nice examples if you like that kind of thing. The place is a detailing nirvana. Hey Mike is that last one a relative of your wife's new wheels?? Lets see if I can get them in here right side up.

Not a relative of her new wheels(3 weeks till it arrives, give or take), but it is from her country. A quintessentially French car if the ever was one, its a Renault 4CV.
Its an interesting lineup there, fast Ford, fast AC/Ford, fast Ford, and a 19hp Renault!

"I am liking the last little car there...the hood and grille look slightly familiar."
If you squint a bit, the late 40's styling of the 4CV and our beloved HHR's do share a theme, the Renault cars in the immediate postwar period borrowed heavily from the styling of American cars.
As for me, nothing too exciting today, just a slog to the office and back in the rain. No white Christmas this year in Carolina, just soggy and foggy.
