What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?
#6293
After another follow up at the doctors, I had my loving wife take me to the body shop to check up on the Paddy-Wagon. I knew they had started on the repairs but it was still a shock to see my favorite HHR without most of its left side and no rear suspension.
Right now it will be late January before Paddy sees the world outside of the body shop, now that all of the wreck damaged panels are gone and he's been checked on the frame jig(no dimensional errors found in the body shell, so he's not "tweaked"), they'll cover him up and wait for the parts to arrive from GM.
I like that they have removed most of the interior for the duration of the repairs, no chance of damaging the trim and seats that way.
I did take some pics but it will be a while before I can really sit here at the computer and edit them, Michelle is allowing me 30 minutes of computer time before I'm to go back to resting.
As for the other two in the fleet, I did wave at them as I limped past the garage on my crutches, I think they waved back....but that could just be the pain meds and muscle relaxers making me goofier than normal.

Last night I added some clear front side markers with chrome bulbs, LED taillights, and a shorty antenna! It is looking sweet. TTR motor mount will be next. Quick tip - when installing the LED taillights, do not drop the wrench into the deep cavernous space below.

I went out to lunch and enjoyed the 75o weather got home and thought I had better pick a few oranges from the tree in my front yard before the neighbors get them all, every time someone walks by it seems they just have to pick just one,

Back when I lived in Fla. I had a large Honeybell Orange tree.. Have to agree, hardly anyone could pass it with out grabbing some..
One day I came rolling in & some folks were there with an X-tra large sack that was 1/2 way full.. I had to run them off..
Found out they were selling them at the Farmers Market..

Listened to the pleasing rumble of my '11 leaving this morning with my wife at the wheel, then moped around for an hour when it hit me that I won't be driving for a couple more weeks.....A really big THANK YOU to the guy who got loaded and ran the red light last Friday....its taken a week but now I'm utterly pissed off at being banged up and having the Paddy-Wagon tore up.
I do have to apologize for my language, I do my best to keep my temper under control.
