what does it look like?
sometimes, when I look out the window at work and see my DSM HHR sitting there, I think of this
....and it makes me sad.
it's got a bulky body, a short little front, little ears off the side(mirrors) and bulky fenders.
I dont like the thought...but I cant help it.

So - in other words - you just don't like the way HHR's look anymore. No matter what the color.
What I like about the HHR is that it looks so many different ways depending upon viewing angle, ambient light, and most of all - the mood that I am in.

No...I love the look of my HHR....I just hate that sometimes, like you said, depending on the angle, it reminds me of a little gray hippo.
I might have to park it in a different spot, so I dont see it from that angle anymore.
but on the bright side...yesterday while driving home in the pouring rain, there was a slightly flooded stretch of road...probably 5-6" deep, like a small river going acorss the road...my HHR sits much higher than my other car.....and swam across just fine. So...like a little hippo, it new how to swim . My other car would have required a wet-vac when I got home.

I guess because I have always wanted one, the looks of it are what attracted me. I never get tired of looking at it--especially when its cleaned and shiny.
SW--since we get the residuals of the NoCal rain here, I too was worried about going through flooded streets--the S10 was high enough not to worry about it--Blackie waded through with no problem and I have been pleased that so far, I have not had any of the water issues others have had (leaking sunroof, water on the floor, etc).

I too adore the looks of my HHR. That is why, at some angles, it bothers me that the thought of a hippo comes to mind when I see it.
Must be the color...I dunno.
But make no mistake about it...the looks are what made me want one foremost. The economy, the price, and "fun factor", the toys, and the uniqueness all came second...but looks, and looks alone are what first made me want it....
I am very VERY happy with my DSM....even if it looks like a hippo sometimes.
