What exhaust???

What exhaust???
The LS I recently purchased is 100% stock, I want to put another exhaust on it that you can actually hear.
I’ve seen a few options online but really want something as loud as I can get, has anyone done this and if so which exhaust did you go with.
Thanks

The 2.2 has a 1 3/4 inch tube, to open up the exhaust you can bolt up the 2.4 2 1/4 inch exhaust, not much louder.
Flowmaster mufflers and some pipe can make a nice dual exhaust.
Magnaflow makes a nice 1 3/4 in 1 3/4 out muffler that has a nice tone.
The other systems, cat back are mostly no longer available, GM Performance/ Borla.

Well, if all you want to achieve is to make some noise, then just do a muffler delete. Cut out the muffler and weld in a straight pipe.

I haven't done this yet, but have been looking at the Gibson 2.5 inch stainless system...

I would have prefered the GMPP/Borla system, but it's no longer available.

The real answer though, is that you may just be driving the wrong HHR.
When I pulled off the lot last month in my "new" SS, I had a WHOLE different opinion of this little beast.
The ride home, mostly highway, was more fun than I have had since I parked the Mustang.
I went to pass someone at 75 or so and gave it some juice and got around in a couple of seconds.
Then I saw that I had passed into triple digits, accidentally!
Full disclosure though, I AM looking at a Flowmaster HP2 shorty with the "aggressive sound."
Mostly because the whistle as I pass the ricers just seems a little inadequate.
I know several members have them here and on the FB pages and the YT vids I have seen sounded pretty nice.

I feel ya' although I thought the LT was pretty dang peppy, especially after I went with the Airaid CAI.
