What fuse and condition?

I looked for it here but do you all remember the discussion here a while back regarding some darn thing that may happen to the car and the special fuse to fix it was under the hood. Driving me nuts as I want to make note of it all in that huge downloaded manual I have but can't remember what or where but it was important

No, I wish I could remember it. Nagging me like a bad song. it was some thing completely out of left field that seemed like the complete opposite in a repair which was like "oh really, there is a fuse for this and its under the hood?"

Think I'll just go to the fuse schematic later when I get home. If i see it,I'll recall it and let you know. I just remember that when it was written in here somewhere, it was said by a few they had no idea that was the fix for the problem.

From the owners manual;

To prevent the battery from draining while the
vehicle is being towed, remove the following fuse
from the floor console fuse block: 8 (Ignition
Switch, PASS-Key® III+).
See Floor Console Fuse
Block on page 381 for more information.
Remember to reinstall the fuse once you have
reached your destination.
Engine Compartment Fuse Block
The underhood fuse block is located on the driver’s
side of the engine compartment. Lift the cover
to access the fuse/relay block.
Fuses Usage
1 Electric Power Steering
2 Rear Defogger
3 Empty
